I believe that our souls transit in this world with its journey written and its ending already certain. Not because it was a dictation by Allah, but it was from His wisdom as our Creator. Like a mother knows her child, Allah knows His creations even better.
We owe it to Him who created us and moulded us perfect and unique from one another. No 2 persons are the same, not even twins. For that, I am thankful/Alhamdulillah, that He created me with the personality that I have today. I'm pretty sure that some of that characteristics must have played a part in attracting me to these lovely women in my life now. I'm glad that our friendships last this long for it was built on trust, sharing, compassion, respect and a host of life experiences - both tragic and happy ones. Throughout the test of time, we stand strong. Throughout distance, we connect and we prevailed.
There must be a reason why we are meant to meet here on Earth - to lend a hand when one is down, to be the shoulder when she weeps, to be the pillar when she is broken, to inspire when she needs to leap...
(That picture was taken in 1996, when I was just 19. Eager to explore the world outside to see if it has something to offer me. 4 out of the 5 of them, who at that time, may not know each other yet, was there. Like always. Sofy wasn't there, probably engaged or married).
